Greening America is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit educational foundation whose mission is to advance clean energy and environmentally sound technologies by educating, engaging, and empowering individuals to make a positive change within their organizations and communities.
Greening America had its genesis in the Greening of the White House, a multi-disciplinary energy and environmental retrofit and upgrade of the White House in 1994.
Greening America’s work includes outreach programs for the Architect of the Capitol, historical documentation of electric utility programs for the Smithsonian’s American History Museum, video vignettes for the Home Depot Foundation, and nationally syndicated programs on sustainable communities funded the Rockefeller Foundation.
Since 1995, Greening America has supported U. S. Department of Energy (DOE) programs and has focused efforts on technology transfer and training for the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE), the Office of Building Technologies (BT), and the Federal Energy Management Program (FEMP).
Greening America has recently produced more than 50 nationally accredited online learning events for the Energy Department, including streaming video demonstrations, live online seminars, and self-paced interactive, on-demand courses available 24/7.
